Itinerary

Day 1Chobe National Park (L/D)

Chobe National Park (L / D) Pick up from Kasane Airport around noon, meet your private guide who will accompany you throughout your adventure. Your guide will drive you to a secluded camp site in Chobe National Park, where you will enjoy lunch on arrival and spend two nights. Chobe National Park is home to thrilling action-packed wildlife interactions and the largest concentration of elephants in Africa. Experience unforgettable game drives and private boat cruises on the Chobe River. Enjoy a game drive in the afternoon followed by dinner. Overnight Chobe Under Canvas

Day 2Chobe National Park (B/L/D)

Chobe National Park (B / L / D) As dawn breaks over the bush, the deep voice of your butler delivers a wake-up call at your tent. A tray of tea, coffee and homemade biscuits will be waiting outside your tent. Climb into an open 4×4 safari vehicle with your guide and tracker and set off through the waking bush. You may be lucky enough to spot predators feasting on their kill from the night before or herds of buffalo grazing before the heat of the day. After a morning spent tracking down wildlife, return to the camp for a hearty breakfast. Feast on platters laden with toast, jams and marmalades, homemade muesli, fresh fruits and assorted cheeses. Hot breakfasts are prepared on the open fire, with eggs, omelettes, frittatas and freshly cooked pot breads. After breakfast, indulge in a steaming hot bucket shower or maybe a quick nap before lunch. Inviting lunch platters are served in the cool shade of the dining tent. While away the afternoon hours with a good book and a chilled glass of wine in the guest tent or simply watch the wonders of the bush directly from your tent’s veranda. Afternoon tea, with a selection of light snacks, will be served in the late afternoon. Depart on an afternoon game drive as the heat of the day starts to break or try something a little different on a river cruise. Glide among hundreds of elephants, which come down to drink or just cavort in the cooling waters. Hippo can be spotted both in and out of the water and herds of beautiful sable wander the water’s edge. Snacks and sundowners are served on board as the sun sinks beneath the horizon. As you arrive back at the camp, cocktails are served around a blazing fire. Dine under the stars on a delicious meal cooked on the open flames. After dinner, indulge in decadent desserts, served with tea, coffee or cognac. Stories from an adventurous day are shared around a glowing campfire. You will then be escorted back to your tent, where you will drift off to sleep amidst the sounds of the African bush. Overnight Chobe Under Canvas

Day 3Savute (B/L/D)

The next leg of your tour will be a game drive transfer into the beautiful Savute area of the Chobe National Park. Here, surrounded by pristine wilderness, you will spend two nights where, during the months of February to April only, your accommodation will change from the standard dome tent to a more spacious Meru Style tent, the area is known for its large prides of lion, African wild dog, leopard and spotted hyena. Adventures in the Savute include game drives and the opportunity to see volcanic outcrops and Bushmen paintings. Overnight Savute Under Canvas.

Day 4Savute (B/L/D)

Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Adventures include twice-daily game drives in semi-open 4×4 vehicles with guaranteed window seat. Overnight Savute Under Canvas.

Day 5Okavango (B/L/D)

On the final leg of your journey you will hop aboard a light aircraft that will take you to the famous Nxabega concession, in the Okavango Delta, where you will flu to the beautiful Nxabega Trails Camp. Here you will experience an adventure filled mix of water and land activities from game drives to mokoro and catch-and- release fishing. Overnight Nxabega Trails Camp.

Day 6Okavango (B/L/D)

Game viewing in the Okavango Delta is remote and secluded, with very few vehicles sharing the private concession. Sensitive off-road driving practices allow our guests to get up close to the area’s exceptional wildlife. Afternoon drives continue after night, allowing for an opportunity to see the many animals that are more active at night, including leopard and serval. Lion frequently hunt at night and there is always a chance of coming upon them feeding on a kill. The professionally trained guides will ask you about your favourite wildlife and will do their best to ensure that your preferences are met, whether it is tracking a particular species or spending more time enjoying each sighting, getting to know the habits of the animals. They will also tell you about the vegetation of the region and will explain the behaviour of the animals that you come across. In some cases, the guides will be able to identify individual animals and let you know about their history and habits. Game viewing is also offered in motorized boats. These trips allow you to cover more ground, and should allow you to see more of the landscape. The Delta is probably best known for its Mokoro rides. These are boating trips through the maze-like channels and shallow lagoons of the Delta. They are conducted in traditional boats which are called Mokoros. These sturdy boats used to be hand crafted out of large Delta trees. Today most of the boats used in the Delta are fibre glass replicas, to prevent the cutting down and depletion of the Delta’s magnificent trees. Mokoros are a great way to go game viewing. As they are not motorized, they allow you to glide silently through the channels. This allows you to approach the wildlife silently and you will see more, as they are not scared off by a motor. You will see many animals that feed on the grass and reeds on the palm islands such as lechwe, sitatunga, elephant, hippo and crocodile. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. Overnight Nxabega Trails Camp.

Day 7Maun (B)

Today, your guide will accompany you to Maun and will wave a fond farewell as you board your flight homeward from Maun International Airport.
